Today, while nibbling on my protein rich salad that I purchased for lunch from the cafeteria of my clients building, I took a minute to just stop, and reflect.

Everyone always seems to have so much on the go, so many things to do, so many places to be, and all at the same time. I realized I am no different. Working as a consultant for a software development firm I am required to travel quite often. I fly, bus or drive to some city, work long hours, try to keep fit, go to the gym, go for a run, take a swim, try to eat healthy, try to eat regularly, have side projects to work on, try to say informed on technology, business, politics, news, keep pace with emails, calls, text messages, blogs, forums, STOP!

Guess what? My life has lost its balance. Wait, was my life ever balanced? We let things get out of control, take on a life of there own and attempt to exist within the chaos.

It dawned on me that I need to stop, reflect, and sort this out. Think about the things in your life that are important, the things you cherish, and the things you look forward too. Now how much time to you spend on these things? Honestly. I know for me the answer is no where near enough. Everyone needs to take the time to figure out what is really important, then organize your life to respect this balance.

Tonight, I know what my most important task is.
